How old does a client need to be before they can participate in equine-assisted activities and therapy (EAAT)?Clients must be at least 4 years of age.

Do you have adult clients or only children?Both children and adults are enrolled in our programs.

Is there a weight restriction for the therapeutic riding program?We carefully match a client to a horse and have a maximum weight limit of 180 lbs. Depending upon the capability or challenges, of the rider, the weight guideline could fluctuate.

If I am in a wheelchair, can I ride?Yes. We have a wheelchair ramp, lift and our team is trained to safely mount and dismount you from the horse.

Will my insurance pay for EAAT?Many companies offer a flex pay program that allows you to deduct pre-taxed monies - which could be used to pay for Equine Therapeutic Riding program sessions. Some individuals are able to receive partial reimbursement through their health insurance for our Mental and Behavioral Health program.

Will my child be alone or in a group session for the therapeutic riding?Before riding, an evaluation is completed to determine if individual or group sessions are best for the goals of the client.

Do you accept clients with all disabilities?We accept children and adults with many unique challenges. Currently, over fifty different diagnosis are represented in our program. Please contact us and we will be happy to discuss your loved ones personal needs.

Do I need to have my own horse and tack?No. The ranch will supply the highly skilled and trained horses and the tack (Ex. reigns, saddle) for your sessions. Each client does however have to have to bring their own riding helmet once they have entered into our program.

How often do I ride?Each rider will ride once a week during our Spring, Summer and Fall sessions with intermittent breaks for holidays and inclement weather.

When are the sessions?Our hours of operations vary throughout the year. Please ask for additional information about the schedule times during the 2024 program year.
